The Locanda dei Mercanti, depositary of the project for the preservation and diffusion of typical local cuisine, is located in a 17th century building that was probably an oratory. Situated in the centre of the village of Crevacuore, in the old part of the town, opposite the Church of Santa Marta and San Sebastiano and just a few metres from the Parish Church, it is an ideal place to stop for a pleasant break. The Locanda dei Mercanti offers its guests a restaurant, cafeteria, B&B and a library. In spring 2019 the bicycle workshop and bike rental adjacent to the building was inaugurated. The opening of the cellars of the building is planned, with the construction of two open seasoning rooms (salami/cheese) and a wine shop. The space hosts the cultural activities of the Bosone di X cultural Association and is comfortably and attractively furnished to provide an idea of "home". The cuisine is very attentive to seasonality, using typical products and locally produced fruit and veg. Upon request it is possible to have a vegetarian or vegan menu. During the week it is possible to have a working lunch menu, while in the evening and at weekends the menu is a la carte. It is possible to book dinners or group lunches. Monika and Alberto, the managers of the Locanda dei Mercanti, have been running the business for almost two years. They have been passionately involved in the renovation of the common areas and the restoration of the furniture. Both chefs take turn in cooking and serving, so they can always describe the dishes they prepare with love to their guests.
