Highlights and tour details

The itinerary connects the Basilica of Superga with the Sanctuary of Crea, passing through the Canonica di Vezzolano (Rectory). The 64-km route goes through the villages and the vineyards of the hills of Torino and Monferrato. The route was designed by Cesare Triveri, a member of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) of Casale Monferrato, who went along it for the first time in 1990, along with a group of hikers. Subsequently, the CAI repeated the route with 130 hikers in 2000, on the occasion of its tenth anniversary, a recurrence in which the Superga-Crea was named after its creator.
