From Alpe Veglia you cross the Rio Frua and quickly reach Alpe Balma at an altitude of 1764 m. From here, after crossing a second brook, you begin to climb up a woody slope below the Torri di Veglia until you reach a ridge at an altitude of about 1960 m which dominates the valley of the Cairasca stream and Alpe Cianciavero. The path then runs along the slope with a long stretch on the hillside until it begins to descend when the grassy ridges of Alpe Ciamporino (about 1940 m) are in sight. Continue from the mountain huts along the F50 path which continues along the hillside, descending a little below the rocky walls of the "Dosso" to Moiero (1756 m). From here you continue on the consortium trail which, with a long stretch along the hillside, passes Alpe Quatè and finally arrives at Alpe Solcio with the Crosta refuge.
