From Falmenta you proceed slightly uphill along the hillside to Mergugna coasting the southern side of Monte Riga and go back up to Gurro. From here, partly by path and partly by road, you climb up to Piazza where a long hillside stretch begins in the thick woods of the valley with numerous ascents and descents. The path can be quite difficult to walk along, especially in autumn with leaves. This long stretch leads to Daila and then to Provola, from where you go down to cross the Cannobino strean to go back up to Finero. From Finero you take the M18 path passing through Pian dei Sali and then descending to Alpe Cortaccio and the bridge over the Melezzo stream, then cross the cycle path and reach the Re station. From here you go slightly uphill to the hamlet of Villette and continue along the valley and then downhill to Madonna dei Gabbi and, after crossing the Melezzo, finally reach Malesco.
