From Carcoforo, after crossing the bridge over the Egua stream, follow the road along the valley floor beyond the village of Selva Bruna to Alpe Le Coste, leaving path 117 on the right, which goes up to Passo della Miniera. We cross Rio Giovanchera and Rio Fornetto and, after the junction with path 113 that leads to Colle della Bottiggia, we reach Alpe Selva Bruna (1464 m), with two restored huts. Keeping to the left side of the Rio Trasinera we climb the steep slope full of tall grasses and ferns, rare larch trees and shrubs of green alder and rowan. The path then reaches the grassy plain of Alpe Trasinera Bella (1925 m). Once past the mountain pasture, we proceed southwards to Alpe del Termo (2081 m) located under the overhanging north face of Cima Lampone. Upstream of the alp, the path winds into a narrow depression overlooked by the Cima del Tiglio. After crossing the steep grassy slope we reach Colle del Termo at 2351metres.
The descent on the slope of Rima (path 293) starts with a very steep grassy slope that the path goes down with numerous narrow hairpin bends to an altitude of about 2000 metres. Here a short stretch on the hillside leads to the start of another steep downhill stretch into an autochthonous conifer wood, mainly of mountain pine, used as a defence against avalanches. We then reach Alpe Chiaffera or Ciaffera (1706 m) and with another stretch of hairpin bends in a mixed wood we reach the village of Rima at 1411 m.
