Follow the little road that goes up to the Morasco dam and runs along the lake. At the departure point of the cable car, a path that is still paved in some sections goes up to Alpe Bettelmatt, the production area of the homonymous and renowned cheese. From the alp a rather steep path leads to Passo del Gries. You continue along the hillside, skirting Lago del Gries to the dam area, where a small service road begins that you follow for two hairpin bends. Continue to the right along a short hillside stretch arriving on the Nufenenpass road.
