From Alpe Laghetto you climb to the Lakes of Campo, situated below the slopes of Monte Straciugo the highest peak of Valle Bognanco. Passo di Pontimia is a short distance away and from there you will see the peaks of  Alta Valle Bognanco and Zwischbergental. Descending from the pass, you enter the highlands that extend to below Passo Andolla. You go along the side of the charming lakes of Pontimia and cross the ruins of the mountain huts of the homonymous Alp, walking in meadows in the face of the dramatic peaks of Andolla and Weissmies. Having reached Alpe Porcareccia, you reconnect with the main stage of the variant of Alte Valli Anzasca ed Antrona. From here, you reach Passo Andolla and descend into the basin that slopes towards Alpe Andolla and the homonymous refuge.
