Highlights and tour details

From the Cingino bivouac, you initially follow a stretch of the dam gutter canal and then descend to 2200 m to circumvent at the base the eastern peak of Pizzo Cingino. Climb to meet the canal again and follow it in a contour line for another 600 metres until you cross the valley of Alpe Laugera (2301 m). Climb the desolate valley turning to the right and reaching the foot of the final valley. Climb back up it again on debris to the left, and following the tracks and the signs, you reach the lake and a few metres on Passo di Antigine (2895 m) which is home to the homonymous bivouac. Descend on the Swiss side, initially on stone, towards Valle di Ofental below, to reach the junction with the trail that climbs to the right towards Passo del Cingino. Continue straight on in the valley and shortly after leave the trail that continues towards the artificial lake of Mattmark turning left and crossing the stream. The trail climbs and then runs along a mountainside for 2 km that leads to a junction. Leave the trail to the right that descends to the dam and take that which heads towards the Monte Moro pass. You soon cross the Talli stream (2490 m) and continue to climb to reach the Italian-Swiss border at the Monte Moro Pass (2866 m) which is home to the Oberto-Maroli Refuge (2796 m).
