Campeggio Valle Gesso is located in Entracque, a few kilometres from France and on the border with the Maritime Alps Natural Park. It avails of pitches for tents, campers and caravans, even of large size, and of cosy chalet-mobile homes, wood homes in Alpine style. The campsite is the ideal place for a family holiday; there are also open and well-defined spaces in which to run and cycle; the playground, swings, football and volleyball grounds to play in and make new friends and then the swimming pools to swim and have fun. There are many visitor centres and activities in the valley including the "Centro Uomini e Lupi" (Men and Wolves Centre) in Entracque, the Archaeological Park and the Royal Spa of Valdieri. Campeggio Valle Gesso is also the ideal starting point for many hikes in the Maritime Alps, currently a candidate to become a UNESCO world heritage site. The treks vary from the simplest and shortest, to suit everyone, up to the most challenging and to real mountaineering. Rock climbing, bouldering, via ferrata, and Nordic and Alpine skiing in winter, make days in the mountain full of enthusiasm and adrenalin. For bike lovers, there are numerous mountain bike routes, both easy and accessible up to the more difficult and challenging ones, such as the 45 kilometres of the Gran Fondo delle Alpi Marittime. For some years, thanks to the collaboration with the Park, it has been possible to rent mountain bikes.
